I am Dr.Vinodh, currently working as a director and consultant at Ortho One, Orthopaedic speciality centre, Coimbatore, South India.
I completed my undergraduate education at Coimbatore medical college, and did my initial post graduate training in orthopaedics and hand surgery at the Christian medical college hospital, Vellore. I had further training in joint replacement surgery, paediatric orthopaedics and trauma in the orthopaedic training programme in England. I also completed my master’s degree in orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool during that period. I was fortunate to train under Prof. Klenerman, Mr. Dorgan, Mr.Taylor, Mr. Monk and Mr. Walsh at the Royal Liverpool Children’s hospital, generally known as Alder hey children’s hospital. Subsequently I had the honour of working as a consultant in this prestigious hospital. I also had further extensive training in joint replacement surgery by attending several courses and workshops in Europe, U.S.A and Australia.
My special interests are Joint replacement surgery and Paediatric orthopaedics. I have been a regular faculty member in many teaching courses and conferences and also have publications in national and international journals. I have convened several teaching programmes for orthopaedic trainees and G.Ps over the past 5yrs. I was South zone representative of Paediatric Orthopaedic Society between 2005 and 2007 and was the Organising secretary of the national conference of Paediatric orthopaedic society of India in Jan 2008. Currently I serve as the secretary of Coimbatore Orthopaedic Society.
Patients attending my clinic can expect a thorough clinical examination, necessary investigations and appropriate treatment. I am willing to listen to your problems patiently and explain all the pros and cons of the treatment I am going to offer. I try to be as conservative as possible but when surgery is necessary, I have the expertise and over 20 years experience in the areas I have mentioned above.
